1. Mix
Pour 50 lbs Sand plus the D2000 filler components completely into the mixer and start the mixing process. After mixing for 3 minutes add approx. 100 ounces /0,8 gal/3 liters of water and continue mixing well for at least 3 minutes.
2. Pre-Wet
Pre-wet the surface. Porous surfaces as well as higher surface temperatures, require more intense pre-wetting
Note: The surface to be joint-fixed should be cleaned of all impurities before work commences.
3. Wash In
Work it carefully into the joints using a squeegee/rubber slider. In order to use the flow capability of the paving jointing mortar, it should be poured onto three or four areas of the jointing area.
4. Sweep Off
After approx.10 minutes, the excess mortar on the stone surface can be swept off carefully with a large, coarse broom.
5. Final Cleaning
Use a soft, hair broom to do a final cleaning until all residual mortar has been removed from the surface.
6. Spray Off
Now thoroughly spray the paved surface with a fine water spray (distance of spray nozzle to stone surface approx. 3 feet).
